What is the USMA?
The United States Martial Arts Association,  better known as the USMA,  is a non-profit organization  founded in 1995,  and incorporated in 1996,  by O Sensei Philip S Porter.  Dedicated to the principles of fair and equitable promotions,  a strong instructional seminar program,  and service to the Martial Arts Community, it is one of the major unifying forces in martial arts today.
Innovation has marked the USMA,  as it's structure is from the grass roots up.  Programs and directions are determined by  the National Board of Directors,  which is choosen from the general membership and serves in a non-paying capacity.  This has resulted in many new and creative approches.
Some of the services offered by the USMA are:
- National  seminar program
- USMA University
- Nationally registared promotion program
- Online information service
