What is the USMAF
USMAF is an acronym for the United States Martial Arts Federation. This organization was founded in 1967 by Sensei John J Chaffin. It was then named the American Martial Arts Society (AMAS) and later (in 1981) renamed the United States Martial Arts Association (USMAA). In 1997 it merged with an association of the same name (USMA) that was led by Sensei Phil Porter but broke away in 1999.
The motto of USMAF is "Integrity, Discipline, Honesty" and it follows these principles in it's efforts to bring the many diverse martial arts together.
